David Clifford
Specialist Relationship and Psychosexual Therapy for Individuals and Couples.
You may have found yourself here because something isn't working.

Perhaps sex has become a source of anxiety rather than pleasure. Maybe you feel disconnected from your partner, caught in the aftermath of an affair, struggling to trust again, or trapped in the same relationship patterns despite your best efforts to change them.
You may be questioning your sexuality, navigating dating, feeling lonely, relying on porn in ways that no longer feel healthy, or finding yourself drawn to sexual behaviours that leave you feeling confused, ashamed or disconnected.
Whatever brings you here, you do not have to work through it alone.
Hello, I'm David, a relationship therapist, clinical sexologist and psychotherapist. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space for individuals and couples who want to better understand themselves, their relationships, and their patterns of connection.
I work with a diverse range of clients, including those from LGBTQ+ communities. Much of my work focuses on attachment, intimacy and identity, and how early relational experiences can shape current relationships.
In my psychosexual work, I support clients with sexual anxiety, erection and ejaculation difficulties, desire differences, intimacy challenges, problematic porn or sexual behaviours, kink, chemsex, and living with STIs including HIV. I also work with survivors of childhood abuse.

For couples, I offer support with communication, conflict, rebuilding trust, and reconnecting emotionally and sexually. This includes working through infidelity, navigating mismatched desire, exploring consensual non-monogamy, or managing the complexities of separation whilst staying connected.

I began my counselling journey in 2018, supporting children who had experienced severe abuse. I later trained at the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology and worked within psychosexual therapy services at 56 Dean Street and Controlling Chemsex. I now work in private practice and am currently completing a Masters in Psychosexual and Relationship Psychotherapy.

My own experience of coming to London and embracing my identity as a gay man, without parental acceptance, gives me a lived understanding of some of the challenges my clients face. This informs my work with empathy, honesty and care.

Alongside my therapy work, I co-own an education business. Before becoming a therapist, I also competed internationally as an athlete. These experiences have given me insight into the pressures that can come with responsibility, performance and identity.

Outside of work, I value movement, connection and wellbeing, and maintain a regular meditation practice.
Therapy creates a space where you can make sense of your experiences, understand yourself more deeply, and move towards the relationships and life you want.
